Don’t forget that news, even for a non-profit cooperative like the Associated Press, is a business.

I work for a newspaper. I understand as well as anyone the need to ensure new revenue streams. But I still fail to see how restricting who sees your content will do that.

The hypocrisy of news organizations always drives me crazy. If a business said it was done talking about something, an AP reporter would keep digging. But when a blogger or reporter does the same thing, the AP gets mad.
