    Good: I was quite stressed, so I reached for a nicotine lozenge. I realized it didn’t help and I didn’t need it.

    Bad: Now I’m not sure what will help me reduce stress (except klonopin).

    Good: Today is three weeks tobacco free, and I feel great. I’ve been more active and even lost a little bit of weight.

    Bad: I’ve chewed so much gum in the past 21 days that my jaw is quite sore.

    Good: I generally have fantastic, vivid, surreal dreams while using nicotine patches.

    Bad: They’ve been quite surreal and unpleasant for the past few nights.

    Good: My hope springs eternal, and I’m going to try for good dreams by sleeping during the day.
